Product Description
Fitting easily within a 2-by-6-inch beam, this multi-purpose 665RP ceiling unit from NuTone functions as a 70 CFM exhaust fan, a 100-watt light, and a 1250-watt fan-forced heater. Perfect for use in a smaller size bathroom, all three functions can be used independently of each other or together simultaneously. The exhaust fan helps minimize moisture in the air during a shower, while the heater quickly warms the room, making it more comfortable when getting ready for work or school in the morning. The unit comes thematically sealed behind a white polymeric grill for safety, and the light lens snaps on and off for easy bulb replacement (uses a 100-watt incandescent bulb, not included). For fast, easy installation, the unit provides color-coded wiring, a ground lead, four-way adjustable hangar bars, and mounting clips. With its clean, sleek design, the 665RP ceiling fan/heater/light blends in well with surrounding decor, and its overall housing measures 14-5/8 by 7-7/8 by 5-5/8 inches.

Nutone combo bath fan, light and heater

a great value for so many tasks! Easy to use, plenty of air or heat or both and enough light to see fine by alone. I had one ruined by filthy tenants and by buying this unit here it was less than buying just the defective heater- I just popped out the modular components and replaced all without any ceiling or plaster work as the housing was identical- a nice quality addition. Quiet, good mist clearing, and toasty- what more could you ask? Add free shipping from Amazon and sold American!

Difficult to install in a finished bathroom

The vent in our bathroom died recently, so seeing that it was a Nutone 665, I ordered this unit, assuming it would be easy to pull the old one out and replace it with this. Unfortunately, the housing has been redesigned for the worse. The old unit did indeed slide out very easily, leaving its hanger bars in the space above the ceiling. The new unit requires you to attach the hanger bars to the housing before installing it. Furthermore, the old unit had an opening for the power to come into the unit where the connections were light, vent, and heat were made. The new unit has these connections outside the housing.Basically, I had to cut open a larger hole in the ceiling to allow for the hanger bars and give me space to hammer them in. The grille is barely larger than the housing, so now I have an ugly space surrounding the unit in the bathroom ceiling.If they hadn't changed the design, I could have reconnected the power, slid the unit in, and hung it on the old hanger bars and written a 5-star review. The new design makes it much harder to install in a finished bathroom and I see no reason why it was changed. The old unit's design was far superior. If I fix the drywall and this unit dies, I'll have to cut the ceiling again to get it out. I'd rather just leave the hole and find some kind of frame to fit around the grille to hide the hole.

We had a 25 year old version of the same heat/vent/light which was still, amazingly, working. It was a bear to get down, but once we did, the new one installed easily in the same space. It's much quieter, heats the space more quickly, and looks great -- the old one's grill had turned a murky yellow-orange and the light visor was bubbled. It's nice that we could get a similar but improved model that used the same sized hole.
