The vertical vanes can be adjusted individually left and right. The shut off vanes can be used to direct the air slightly down or mostly up, opposite if mounted reverse top and bottom. Flows lots of air and does not go deeply into the duct which can restrict air flow in some ducts. No rattles and stays adjusted.

WRONG ITEM

They sent me the wrong item!!!!!The one that came was a 2 way vent and now i got to send back,and it came later than normal even though it said it was a prime items.
