Touch screen failed

Overall this thermostat's appearance and ease of operation is good. However portions of the touch screen lost sensitivity after only a few months. One time you could change a function and the next time you couldn't - it didn't matter how many times you pressed it. The next time if you came back, stood on your left foot, right hand behind your back and bit your tongue it would all of a sudden work.Anyway DON'T BUY IT.

UPM has no tech support

I bought roughly 20 thermostats from UPM 4 years ago. One of them broke (not a bad track record-- 1 in 20), and they came with a 5 year warranty, but I cannot reach the company/ Their phone line system has been "experiencing difficulties" for weeks now and their other phone number for their north american head quarters is disconnected. Emails to info@upm-marketing.com have gone unanswered.Maybe out of business? All my local vendors have stopped carrying their products for a couple of years now.
